Artist's Comments

This painting was an assignment in my color theory class last quarter. We had to pick an emotion and paint a picture of an abstract conception of the emotion, but only using one color, although we were supposed to saturate it in places. It was water color, which allows for pretty nice color manipulation to get multiple shades of the red. I bet you can guess the emotion I picked pretty easily^^

i saw this and thought 'thief!'. Looks like a simplified form of many things I have done. Even down to the dots. Kinda funny

I really like this. I love how the top right corner looks like cherry blossom petals (to me anyway). It's beautiful!

Thank you^^ I like it a lot too, which is why I added it. Some of my paintings just wound up stashed under my bed.
Those in the corner are sort of petels or feathers...I kind of leave that up for interpretation.
